This 40-story, design-build, 386 unit apartment building includes 5 stories of underground parking, 4 stories of above ground parking and one floor of retail space. High-end apartments serve the growing demand for apartments in the greater Seattle area. Premiere on Pine, one of the tallest high-rise apartment buildings in Seattle, was one in a series of high-rise complexes that Stirrett Johnsen was instrumental in building with Holland Partners. The building was completed in record time using a 5 day pour schedule – and earned a Silver LEED rating.
Project Strategies and Results
The most noteworthy aspect of Premiere on Pine was our ability to fit into the aggressive concrete pour schedule/sequence, it was a 5 day pour cycle for each floor. https://youtu.be/iQONGn35898
Premiere on Pine was one of the first jobs in Seattle to use the Positive Air Pressure Attenuator (PAPA) System. https://www.studor.net/papa-system
The use of our Trimble Robotic Total Station (RTS) ensured accurate and consistent sleeve placement and allowed us to meet a demanding schedule.
We applied lean construction techniques, specifically as it applies to our material deliveries and distribution, minimizing stock onsite and reducing waste.
Low-flow fixtures were used for water conservation.
The mechanical room was assembled in our prefabrication shop to mitigate any issues before delivering and reassembling onsite.
